Two plans, and only four things between them
The free plan has no clock on it. It is not a trial, it does not expire into a paid plan, and it carries no adverts. What Premium changes is listed here in full, along with how the money moves and how to stop it.

No card, no clock, and no step where it asks again.
- Roughly one server in five from the list, and never fewer than five even when the published list comes back unusually short.

- DNS answered by Cloudflare, which is set for you and cannot be changed.

Premium
Four rows change. Everything else was already there.
- Every server in the list, including the fast end of the ranking.
- Three tunnels at the same time, so a phone and a tablet do not fight over one.
- A choice of resolver: ad and tracker filtering, plain Cloudflare, or an address you type yourself.
- Bought through Google Play, or granted by a voucher that involves no card at all.
Prices are shown in your own currency inside the app.
Four differences, and a longer list of things that are the same
The rows that read the same on both sides are there deliberately. A free plan is usually where the adverts, the cap and the throttle live, so the absence of all three is worth writing down rather than leaving implied.

What free permanently means, stated so it can be held against us
No clock, and no trial that turns into a bill
A free account does not count down. There is no fourteenth day, no card held for later, and no screen that starts asking once you have grown used to the app. The two plans are separated by capability, never by time, and that is written into the terms rather than left as a promise on a landing page.
Why the free selection is the slower end
Servers are ranked, and the free share is taken from the bottom of that ranking rather than sampled evenly across it. That is the honest shape of it. A free plan that hands out the leftovers while calling it a fair sample is worse than one that names which end it draws from, so this page names it.
No advertising, and no advertising code either
There are no adverts on either plan, and no advertising or analytics SDK is built into the app. The first is a choice about the screen; the second is a choice about what the app is capable of doing behind it.
So what pays for the free plan
Premium subscriptions and vouchers. That is the whole answer. It also explains the shape of the split: the paid tier has to be worth paying for, which is why the fast end of the list sits behind it rather than behind an advert.
What neither plan can promise
Not every server you can connect through is operated by us, so availability and speed are not guaranteed on either plan. Premium buys a bigger and better-ranked selection, not a service level. The terms say the same thing in the place it counts.
Vouchers
A voucher is a fixed stretch of Premium, granted rather than sold. Nothing renews, nothing is stored, and no payment method is involved at any point.
Open the Account screen
The redemption field sits there, under your Premium status. It types in capitals on purpose, because the match is exact rather than forgiving.
Enter the code
One of two things happens. Premium is granted, or the app tells you precisely which of two problems it hit: Invalid voucher code means no such code exists, so it is a typo or a code from somewhere else, and Voucher already used means it has been redeemed once and cannot be redeemed again.
Days stack, they do not replace
Redeeming a voucher while Premium is still running adds its days on top of the time you have left. It never overwrites a balance, and it never shortens one.
What a voucher is not
It carries no cash value, it is not refundable or exchangeable, and it is single use. A voucher is also not tied to an email address before it is redeemed, so treat the code itself as the valuable part. If a code you were given is rejected, write to us with the code and the address on your account.
Where the money goes, and how to stop it
Premium is sold as a Google Play subscription. We never see a card number, because the card never reaches us.
Google takes the payment and issues the receipt
The price is shown in your own currency inside the app before you confirm anything. Refunds are handled by Google under Google Play's own policy, which is why we cannot issue one no matter how reasonable the request is.
It renews until you cancel it
Cancel in the Play Store under Payments & subscriptions, then Subscriptions, at least 24 hours before the period ends. Cancelling stops the next renewal only. It does not shorten the period you have already paid for, and Premium keeps working until that period runs out.
Deleting your account does not cancel the subscription
They are two separate systems, and only one of them is ours. If you are leaving for good, cancel in Google Play as well, or the billing carries on without an account attached to it. Deletion itself is immediate and cannot be undone.
A price change never reaches back
Prices can change for future periods. A period you have already paid for is never repriced, and a change is not applied retroactively. The terms hold the binding version of this paragraph.
The free plan is not a demonstration of the paid one
If Premium is never worth it to you, that is a fine outcome. Install it, use the free plan for as long as you like, and decide later or not at all.
